Cycling for Celiacs Mini Ride & BBQ

Cycling for Celiacs is working to raise awareness and research funds. On Sunday August 20, 2006 there will be a mini-ride and BBQ, and I am encouraging you all to become involved. If you want to participate in the fundraiser you can choose from a 5km or 10km bike ride or a 3km or 5km run/walk, all in the area of the Legislative Grounds. Pledges collected by the riders will be used to provide services and education to Celiacs through the Canadian Celiac Association. If you don't want to ride, you can still come out and enjoy the BBQ! Outback Steakhouse will be catering the event (and there will be other goodies as well). The cost is only $10.00/person if you preregister, or $15.00 at the time of the event.

Location: Alberta Legislative Grounds adjancent to Band Shell on 95 Ave & 107 St.
Registration: 1:00pm
Ride Departs: 2:00pm
BBQ: 3:00pm
Long Distance Riders Return: 4:00pm

The long distance riders are riding from Victoria to Edmonton in 10 days. Money raised from the long distance portion will go to research.
